JOY JOURNAL

Welcome to my Joy Journal — a personal time capsule to celebrate the big and little joys of this journey.

This is where I’ll share behind-the-scenes moments, exciting music news, glimpses into my faith walk, and reflections from the heart. Whether it's a breakthrough in the studio, a story of answered prayer, or a reminder that God is working even in the quiet moments — this space is here to shine a light.

I hope these snapshots of joy, creativity, and faith inspire you to pause and notice the beauty in your own journey, too.

✨ The Sounds of 828 with Aaron Macklin

My first live performance 🙌

Hey Sunshine! Welcome back to my Joy Journal. This one’s extra special.

I landed at SFO under perfect skies, feeling that San Francisco energy humming in the air. I was buzzing — this was the first time I’d meet everyone on the lineup. When Aaron Macklin met me and Angel Wynn at the airport, all my nerves melted away. Right then I knew — this trip was going to be divine.

The hotel check-in was gentle and kind (small blessings matter), and soon I found myself at rehearsal. Walking into the room full of talent? I’ll admit — I was nervous. But from moment one, I was wrapped in love. Everyone welcomed me like family. Aaron Mayfield, the band director, treated me like we’d known each other for years, coaching me through “How Great Thou Art.” There was one big note — he asked me to hold it — and when I did, it felt like time stopped. Presence. Purpose. Proof.

That same evening, my husband Matthew flew in, and I got to connect with other artists. There was laughter. Quiet moments. Anticipation. Unity.

When The Lights Came On

The church was packed. The band was at center stage. The audience surrounded us from all sides. Every seat felt full of expectancy. Before we began, all 18 artists formed a circle. We prayed. Tears. Hope. Gratitude. God’s orchestration in every detail.

When it was my time to sing “How Great Thou Art,” I closed my eyes, surrendered, and let the music carry me. When I finished, Aaron Macklin pulled me in for a hug, and Aaron Mayfield said, “You did an incredible job.” I’ll never forget that moment.

At the end, all of us got on stage and freestyled worship. No scripts. Just raw Spirit. It was holy. It was alive. It was unforgettable.

What Remains With Me

This night reminded me that faith + obedience = beautiful things. That God hears the cry of a heart willing to show up. That community, support, love — those are the threads He uses to weave His story.

I left Hayward not just with memories, but with a heart set ablaze. Full of gratitude. Full of wonder. Full of expectancy for what’s next.

✨ Verse of the Night

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28

Feeling: Overflowing with gratitude.

Prayer: “Lord, let every sound released tonight echo long after we’ve left the stage.”

✨ This Is The Day…

Hey sunshine! ☀️

I’m so excited to share this moment with you — my heart is bursting!

My upcoming single, “This Is The Day,” was chosen as the featured song for TBN’s national summer campaign titled “Summer Shines Brighter with TBN”! ☀️💛 From June 6 to August 6, the campaign will air across TBN’s broadcast network and streaming platforms, and my song will be playing in the background to help spread light, joy, and hope all summer long.

This song holds a deeply personal meaning for me. It was inspired by a moment with my grandmother that I’ll never forget, and it was a reminder that music has the power to bring light even in the most fragile places. ✨ When I wrote this song, it was meant to be a joyful anthem — something that reminds you that God made this day for you, and no matter what comes, you can walk in it with boldness, peace, and purpose. The song is a little bit pop, a little bit praise, and packed with joy. I hope it makes you feel like God’s light is shining right through your speakers.

🎤 The Single is Coming Soon!

“This Is The Day” will officially be released as a single very soon! It’s the first taste of my debut faith-pop album, Dawn of a New Era, coming early 2026.

It’s joy you can dance to, truth you can feel,

and a sound that sparkles like the joy of the Lord under a disco ball. ✨💃🪩

📺 Where You’ll Hear It

You’ll hear “This Is The Day” as part of:

The best part? There’s more in the works — and it’s all still baking behind the scenes. (If you know me, you know I’m not good at keeping surprises, so I’ll probably spill the tea soon. 😅) Stay tuned because what’s coming next is just as exciting — and I can’t wait to bring you along for every moment.
